Concept
Beyond musical arrangement, this was narrative design through music: translating each artist's identity into a complete, story-driven stage. The semi-final re-interpreted Lee Hyori's 'Miss Korea' as a 'corner superstar finding her voice'; the final re-imagined BTS's 'DNA' as an SF destiny of love transcending dimensions.
Experience Design
Each arrangement was built around a clear story arc — a minimal acoustic intro building to a full funk-band climax, musically supporting a narrative of timid liberation — designed frame-by-frame with the artist for the broadcast camera.
Technology / Medium
Music arrangement and production for live broadcast, coordinated with sound teams and directors from rehearsal through live air.
Process
Analyzed the artist's strengths, proposed high-concept frameworks for existing songs, and managed intensive collaboration with the artist, writers, sound teams, and directors through the live broadcasts.
Outcome
The semi-final stage achieved first place overall, including a perfect 100-point score from executive producer J.Y. Park; the artist advanced to the final (runner-up), and the stage was re-staged at the APEC Music Festa. Performance clip exceeded 150,000 views.
Reflection
Broadcast taught me dramaturgy at its most compressed: a whole world argued in three minutes, under live conditions — the same architecture of rhythm and reveal, at maximum density.
