Contribution & Conceptual Framework
As Team Leader and Director, I led this project from initial concept to public exhibition. My work was to deconstruct the abstract emotion of 'fear'—based on my own autobiographical experiences—into a tangible, time-based visual and spatial narrative.
Narrative Design: I built the script from the sentence, "The scariest thing is the emotion you feel alone." I storyboarded an "emotional arc" using keywords: repetition, shadow, flickering, silence, crescendo.
Technical Direction (Animation): I led the 2D animation production using Adobe After Effects, specifically designing the visual layers and sequences for the final projection mapping.
Spatial & Cue Design: I designed the mapping cues and transitions, sequencing the digital timing to the physical wall's proportions. Crucially, I conducted live audience observation during tests to adjust the timing of the emotional cues for maximum impact.
Key Outcomes & Validation
Successfully completed the 1st Seongnam Media Center Workshop with distinction ("우수 수료").
The final work was publicly exhibited on the center's facade and featured in the workshop's archival video (including an interview as Team Leader).
Received peer and instructor feedback that the work was "outstanding as a media content piece with a strong narrative."
During the process, I mentored collaborating painters on digital tools, which gave me direct, practical insight into managing the communication gaps and friction inherent in interdisciplinary art-tech collaboration.
