Conceptual Framework: From Data to Empathy
As the Lead Conceptual Planner for "The Other Side of Seoul," my primary objective was to translate cold, abstract public data on mental health into an empathetic visual narrative. This was a formal proposal to establish a new, dedicated "Mental Health Pavilion" on the Seoul Data Hub portal, submitted as a long-scroll, immersive digital artwork.

This was a formal proposal to establish a new, dedicated "Mental Health Pavilion" on the Seoul Data Hub portal, submitted as a long-scroll, immersive digital artwork.
My core contribution was the design of the two central visual metaphors:
Suicide Victims as "Stars": The stark statistic "2,163 suicides in 2023" was re-framed as "2,163 people became stars." The visualization uses a particle system where each individual point of light (star) represents one human life (1 particle = 1 person), transforming a number into a powerful, humanistic memorial.
Depression Rate as "Teardrops": The city skyline's reflection is, in fact, a bar chart of the "depression experience rate (%)". These were conceptualized as "teardrop bar graphs," visually linking the city's beauty with its hidden sorrow.
Strategic Design: The 'Data-to-Action' Pipeline
My work extended beyond visualization to designing a functional data-to-action pipeline. The project's goal was to be a "connecting link that moves numbers to hearts, and hearts to systems."

Strategic Design: The 'Data-to-Action' Pipeline
My work extended beyond visualization to designing a functional data-to-action pipeline. The project's goal was to be a "connecting link that moves numbers to hearts, and hearts to systems."
To achieve this, I designed the visualization's conclusion not as an end, but as an actionable social intervention:
One-Click Help Interface: The final section features a prominent "Help Button" designed as a central hub.
Direct Policy Linkage: This button was architected to link directly to over 10 different city-run services, transforming the data visualization from a passive report into an active tool for social intervention.
